To mark the launch of Seven Crown Resorts' Houseboat Channel on YouTube, we held our first-ever video contest. Some of the entries were amazing, and some so good we ended up giving three prizes instead of two!
We are pleased to announce the winners of our 2009 video contest and share with you those entries and some other favorites that will take you along for some great houseboat adventures.
First Place (and the prize of a one week Seven Crown Resorts houseboat vacation) goes to Flint and Cheron Palmer and Family of Yorba Linda for The Palmer Family's Go Jump in the Lake video of their trip to Lake Mohave this summer. In addition to jumping, there's a whole lotta swimming, fishing, laughing and skiing goin' on.
We had a tie for Second Place, so two prizes of a four-day houseboat vacation were awarded to these Second Place winners:
Mark Denn and Family of Vacaville for Life is a Highway, a lip sync spectacular shot this summer at Lake Shasta.
Judy Hansen and Family of Redding for Redneck Yacht Club, set to the tune thereof, and also shot at Lake Shasta.
Honorable Mention goes to Cindy Bergstrom and Family of Ladera Ranch for The Fun Never Stops in Shasta, showing "the 50 things they love about Shasta."
Two other great entries:
Lanny Cotler of Willits recorded for posterity a 2009 foray by three of The Four (Headless, they claim) Horsemen, comprised of Cotler, Michael Salveson, Herb Solomon and an AWOL Larry Switzer. Captured on video was their mission on the California Delta, out of Seven Crown Resorts' Paradise Point marina: Planning World Peace on a Houseboat.
Dale King of Riverside submitted Band of Brothers, a chronicle of Bridges Christian Fellowship's annual Men's Houseboat Trip to Lake Mead for 2009. (The opportunities for camaraderie, sports, meetings and meditative settings make houseboating a popular choice for church groups.)
The Houseboat Channel
Don't forget to check out the collection of Seven Crown Resorts' own videos, that show our different locations and the many activities to be enjoyed. They are all found on our Houseboat Channel, also on YouTube.
